Head Pastor - CLG Richmond

Rev. Dunstan Williams accepted the call to salvation in 2002 and has since demonstrated a burning desire to impact the kingdom of God by availing himself to do the work of God.  He began working in the parking lot ministry, a position he held with great honor and pride.   In 2004 he answered the call for evangelical missions in Kenya, where he taught and preached the word of God. His work in the mission field humbled him and birthed an ultimate desire to uphold the command of the Lord in Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation”.  He has embarked on several mission trips since 2004 in East and West Africa with plans of going wherever God leads him.

His quest for continued growth in the Lord, led him to Church of the Living God Richmond Branch in July 2000. His faithfulness to God and demonstrated love for service, resulted in his appointment of leadership positions in several ministries to include the Bothers Keepers, Youth for Christ, New Generations for Christ, Transportation, and Parking Lot Ministries.  He served in the Pastoral Care Committee, Care Call Ministry, Ushers Ministry, Good Samaritans and is a member of the CLGR Presbytery Board. In addition, he taught Foundations, Membership, and Singles classes where he was mostly known by the phrases “swallow your pride before it jokes you” and “we want God ideas not good ideas”.

Rev. Dunstan is a Native of Freetown, Sierra Leone.  He obtained a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.  He earned a post bachelor’s Diploma in Biblical Studies from the Gary Whetstone School of Biblical Studies and is a licensed Minister in the State of Virginia.

An effective communicator of God’s word, Rev. Dunstan is known for his passionate and unapologetic delivery of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and often uses his personal experiences as a testament of God’s unfailing mercies in the delivery of his sermons.  He has a passion for people and desires that all men receive the gift of salvation.  Additionally, Rev. Dunstan loves working with the youth, enjoys being in the house of God, and is fervent in serving in God’s house, especially being of service to leadership.  Rev. Dunstan’s love for the Kingdom of God and the lost souls is greatly rewarded by his appointment as the Minister of Missions for CLG Richmond.  He served as the Pastor of Charlottesville Branch under the leadership of his long-term Mentor and Pastor Rev. Chinedum Brown, the late Pastor of CLG Richmond, and General Overseer of CLG Ministries, International.

Rev. Dunstan is a loving husband and father whose love for God has made a tremendous impact in his family, church, and community.  He and his wife Deaconess Ami Williams have been married about 15 years and are proud parents of four children.
